Christmas is found in the heart. Recently, while attending Chloe’s School Christmas Program, the song “Where Christmas is Found” was performed by Cary Woods Elementary Music Director, Laurie Gilbreath. I was very touched by the song as well as her comments prior to her solo. She spoke of how the children "really do get it." Along with all the shopping and gifts and goodies, the kids seem to understand that this holiday season is all about love, joy, and hope. They know it means spending time with family and friends. A child somehow believes with an innocence that we have long left behind. They embrace compassion and accept differences in the faiths, beliefs, and traditions of their peers in a way that adults could possibly learn from. After spending the day with my children and grandchild, I realize the truth of this even more. Oh, to be more like little children. Maybe there is something to that.
My Christmas Wish is that this message finds you with joy and peace in your heart. I pray that we all find time during this busy season to be with loved ones and quietly reflect, even if for just a moment, on what it really means to each of us.
We’ve had fun with our 12 Days of Christmas Sale. Being that today (Christmas Day) is the actual first day of Christmas, I’m including a couple of links for more information on the history of the 12 Days of Christmas and to some suggested symbolism related to the song of the same title. Interesting.
Once again, I would like to thank you for all of your support throughout the year. Best wishes. We look forward to a Rockin’ New Year. Talk to you soon……..
